At the end of the year, we always ask ourselves the same old question: What are we going to send our customers by way of a Christmas gift? What is practical, appealing and does not breach compliance guidelines? In the course of our research, we came across the DKMS “Spende statt Geschenke für Unternehmen” (Donations instead of gifts for companies) campaign and immediately knew that we had found it! This is not the first time we have worked with DKMS. Back in 2015, we called on our employees in Germany to take part in a tissue typing campaign at our Offenbach office because one of our dear colleagues was ill with leukaemia and was looking for his genetic twin. And it was a success! He has been back working full time at EVS Translations for over a year now!
As an international translation company, we would like to use this emotional experience to set an example and accept responsibility – with a gift that is meaningful and also continues to do good long after the holiday season. We would like to make a donation to DKMS GmbH to thank our customers and suppliers for the successful working relationship in 2017 and as a sign that we are looking forward to working on more exciting translation projects with them going forward.
For EVS Translations, the start of the new year will be full of new challenges. To make the translation process even more straightforward for our customers, we are investing in the development of our technical infrastructure and are offering end-to-end platform solutions – allowing files of any format to be uploaded easily and the finished translation retrieved. This is just one of the concepts that will be initiated in the new year.
Before we move into the period of hectic Christmas preparations, we would like to wish you, your families and colleagues a peaceful festive period, relaxing holidays and a healthy, happy start to 2018.
