EVS Translations Crosses the Finish Line at the J. P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Frankfurt with Representatives from Seven Departments

Once again, EVS Translations took up the J. P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Frankfurt with three teams of four people. Two euros from the entry fee of each of the 63,000 runners went to the German Sports Aid Foundation and the youth organisation of the National Paralympic Committee Germany. EVS Translations was represented by seven departments altogether, proving once again that they are a well-rehearsed team even outside the office.

While it was still rainy and cold in the morning, the weather had cleared up by the afternoon. So we had the best running conditions when we left our Offenbach translation office on Luisenstrasse and took the S-Bahn to the meeting point at the Hauptwache in Frankfurt.

Our motto is to reach our goal together – and this applies to both our customers and the race. All our team members ran together at the beginning of the race, before continuing each at their own pace to arrive soundly at the finish line where we waited for each other. This reflects another of EVS Translations’ beliefs – we are strong together and take care of one other. We had supporters at the side of the track for the first time at this year’s race. They took care of food, looked after our valuables and, of course, sported our colourful team jerseys in support.

Our fastest runner this time reached the finish line of the 5.6 km track in 24 minutes – a truly outstanding performance that makes him the fastest runner EVS Translations has had in 11 years at the JPM race. Congratulations! For comparison, the fastest male and female runners in the overall ranking finished the race in 16:25 and 19:10 minutes, respectively.

We are now training hard again for the 2020 J. P. Morgan Corporate Challenge and, who knows, maybe we will inspire another employee or two to join us for the team event so that we can compete next year with an even bigger team.
