Edward Vick will be making a presentation at the Languages and Business Today and Solutions for Tomorrow conference organised by the International Association Language and Business (IALB) and the international network Tradulex, in Lisbon, Portugal, on 1 October 2010.
He will be talking about English as the world’s leading language for business. Major corporations do their business in English and perhaps in another language. Increasing globalisation is marginalising other languages. Entertainment, internet, pharmaceutical companies, literature, air traffic, transportation – the list is long. In almost all countries the key language is English, perhaps with a translation into the local language and back.
