Merry Christmas to a Global Group!

Merry Christmas to a Global Group!
Merry Christmas to a Global Group!

EVS Translations Group employs 150 staff members in its offices worldwide, and at most of its sites combines the talents of administrators, linguists, project managers, and translation engineering resources to form high performance centres.

What is a group after all? Stemming from the French term groupe, and coming out with the meaning of ‘a number of people who associate together for professional reasons,’ synonymous to team, since the late 1800, and best defined in 1879 by the political commentator, economist, and journalist Walter Bagehot: “Man can only make progress in co-operative groups.”

And our Group has, indeed, made a significant progress since its founding back in 1991, in Germany as a one-person translation company, to today stand up as one of the top leading international translation companies where professionals from 16 different nations work and celebrate together.

The hard work of our Group was professionally celebrated this year when EVS Translations became a member of the Qualitätssprachendienste Deutschlands (QSD) association that represents the interests of medium-sized translation companies within the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies and where translation service providers can only become members if they can show certified quality assurance systems in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 or DIN ISO 17100 or in compliance with QSD guidelines, and, thanks to our people and processes, EVS Translations has shown it all!

Furthermore, in 2017, we have serviced more than 1500 corporate clients; among which Fortune 500, and other listed corporations, global law firms, OEMs, leading pharma-, energy producing-, and retail- corporations. And have also received over 1500 job applications from professional interested to join our successful Group.

It has been quite of a year! And with our last blog post for 2017 we would like to thank every single person from our large in-house team, made of individuals from Bulgaria, China, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Turkey, the UK, Ukraine, and the USA.

Our Russian and Ukrainian colleges would have to wait for additional two weeks, until January 7, for the Счастливого Рождества! and Щасливого Різдва! Christmas greetings. Our Chinese and Turkish professionals, whose countries do not have official dates for Christmas, are encouraged to enjoy a long season of festivities, and to them we wish: 诞节快乐 ! and Mutlu Noeller!

And the list of greetings goes on and on:

Весела Коледа!, Joyeux Noël!, Fröhliche Weihnachten!, Kαλά Χριστούγεννα!, Buon Natale!, Nollaig shona dhuit!, Feliz Navidad!, Feliz Natal!, Crăciun fericit!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone at EVS Translations, and to all our loyal suppliers and customers!

This year we thank our partners with a Christmas gift that will save lives and continue to do good long after the holiday season! See you all back here on January 2.
