The fifth German Mittelstand – Southern SME Forum will be held on April 3, 2017, at the Chattanoogan Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA.

Organizer: The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern United States, Inc. (GACC South), founded in 1978 to promote and support bilateral trade between Germany and the U.S., is one of the largest bi-national chambers in the USA.

Event: The forum offers a business-specific platform to exchange ideas while building relationships with new business partners, and the opportunity to gain insights on innovative business practices.

Agenda: The all-day business conference will feature engaging keynote speakers followed by workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.

Highlights: Workshops on topics ranging from cyber security and the protection of information systems, to learning from the digitalization-oriented projects’ practices from the startup scene in Berlin, Germany and the successful story of the Southern US startups.

An afternoon panel discussion on the Trends and Challenges for a 21st Century Workforce will highlight the differences between the German and the American approach of training a workforce to meet the future requirements of Industry 4.0.

An election of the 2017 GACC South Board of Directors and a State of the Chamber Report will be announced at an evening reception at the Coker Tire Museum.
