EVS Translations Is Ready for the London Law Expo 2019

On October 8, Jo Brompton from our UK sales & marketing team will be visiting Europe’s largest law expo, the London Law Expo 2019. This will be Jo’s second time to attend this high-calibre event, which once again sees some of the biggest names from the international legal sector coming together to discuss key issues.

Last year, Professor Stephen Mayson, Honorary Professor of Law, University College London, spoke to a packed audience at Old Billingsgate commenting, “this is the third expo since the Brexit referendum. We don’t have much longer to go and, maybe for the next 6th annual London Law Expo we’ll be in or out”. Well, we’re not there yet – and it’s been the kind of painful process people were dreading since the event in 2018 – but there are still many positive issues on the agenda in addition to the looming cloud of Brexit. Last year there were fantastic talks from leading experts including Tim Aspinall, CEO of Aspinall Consultants Limited and Andrew Haslam, UK eDisclosure Project Manager at Squire Patton Boggs, both of whom will speak again this year. Many of the topics will look at the future shape of law firms: culture, change management, and challenging the traditional model. While last year there was a clear focus on AI and innovation, people and psychologies seem to be at the forefront of the 2019 event.

EVS Translations is looking forward to taking part and finding out what’s driving law firms and their business in 2019 and beyond.
