Quality Management

Because quality doesn’t just need to be delivered – it also needs to be managed. Especially when it comes to your translation projects.

Your Data in Safe Hands

Watch this video to learn how EVS Translations’ partnership with a data storage facility in Germany ensures your security – and why ordering translations with EVS Translations is your safest option.

Individual Quality Control Modified to Fit Your Translation Projects

Quality can have many definitions, but what does it mean to you? What is most important to you when it comes to the quality of your translations? EVS Translations can offer you subject-specific translations done by native speakers who know the language’s cultural nuances, and are always proofread by a proof-reader (senior translator) before being submitted. Read more about it here.

Or do you put more emphasis on short-notice translation orders delivered on time or the quick turn-around of large orders? Perhaps data protection and security and GDPR-conforming processes are at the top of your priority list? If so, EVS Translations takes every precaution to keep your data safe, such as encrypted data transfer, NDAs, possible on-site translations for highly confidential projects, and cooperation with an ISO-certified data center in Germany.

You can contact our individual contact persons that will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have from beginning of the project to the end. Based on their strengths, the trained project managers can put together the best translators for the job and therefore create the most efficient teams for you.

As you can see, EVS Translations is fully prepared for your individual priorities and ready to combine any of them to construct the perfect translation project for you!

Your ISO-Certified Language Service Provider

EVS Translations is certified under the ISO 17100 as a language service provider and under the ISO 9001 for quality management processes. We have been granted a Declaration of Conformity for the ISO 18587 to post-edit machine translations after fulfilling all the requirements and conformity to attest for this certificate. Lastly, the data center in Germany that we cooperate with is certified under the ISO 27001 for information security management systems. The aforementioned ISO 17100 also regulates what kind of qualifications all translators, proofreaders, and project managers are required to have, so that the translations we produce are guaranteed the highest quality. Furthermore, do pay attention to the difference between being registered and certified: Unlike a pure registration, a certification requires an audit coming into the office and checking the company’s work in every detail before a certificate can be obtained.

Going Beyond What Is Required in the Translation Industry

The ISO certificates come with a lot of rules and guidelines, and next to following them closely, EVS Translations also goes beyond these rules to make sure our clients receive the highest quality translations. For example, the ISO 17100 does not require the analysis of the whole order, from delivery time to technical innovations to assessment of the source text, but EVS Translations makes sure to check every one of these steps before delivering the final product. We also only allow translators to translate into their native language, another rule not required by the certificate but still strictly followed by us. Further, despite there being many various ways of producing translations – such as pure translation or letting native speakers without subject-specific knowledge proofread a text whose source language they do not speak – EVS Translations only follows one principle: native speakers with subject-specific knowledge proofread a text whose source language they speak fluently, while also comparing it to the original text and ensuring a consistency to all previous projects. It is these rules and principles we follow that have brought us to where we are now.
