International political conferences and business meetings rely on professional interpreting for seamless communication which keeps participants accurately informed. EVS Translations provides its clients with scalable linguistic expertise, project management and technical solutions to ensure that this happens every time. The quality of our clients and events means we attract leading international interpreters to partner with our team.
With all the skill in the world, an interpreter can’t perform their work effectively if an assignment has been poorly planned. Your project manager will ensure smooth implementation of the necessary resources, and clear communication with the client helps this process. Our project managers will discuss requirements in detail to determine: the type of interpreter you need, if you need more than one, scheduling, travel & accommodation, the subject specialism and whether reference materials can be made available to the interpreter for preparation, and the appropriate technical equipment.
It’s important for clients to understand the different types of interpreting. At conferences, simultaneous interpreters sit in special soundproof booths and provide immediate interpretation to the client via a headset. A consecutive interpreter provides a summary of what a speaker has said, either during pauses in a talk or at the end. Consecutive interpreting may be more suitable for events such as small business meetings. Not all interpreters offer both types.
EVS Translations provides interpreting for business events and political conferences. Our recent assignments include:
- UN conferences
- Confidential high level business meetings
- Audits & inspections
- Depositions and court cases
If you require a team of simultaneous interpreters for an international conference, a consecutive interpreter for business negotiations or further information about how EVS Translations provides interpreting services to global businesses and NGOs, contact us to discuss requirements.
